About Richminster Rectory Academy
In the the village of Musikoma in BUNGOMA County around 15kms from BUNGOMA Town on your way to Mumias you will find our Orphanage school Richminster Rectory Academy . I am glad to say back in 1999 Little or no aid had ever reached this small village - they had no water, no school, no clinic, no electricity or any of the things people take for granted in everyday life.
 
In 1999 there was nothing except despair in the village, disease and poverty was witnessed everywhere, children and adults alike felt they were the forgotten people.
 
Within 3 months, Richminster Foundation Began Partnership with one family from Norway (Nils Anders Bueng and his wife Sol Bueng) with all the villagers helping, we had a temporary classroom structure built and our first 75 pupils began talking classes, all were orphans. We began a feeding program to help these poor children to at least have food at school. Those who could return to their old grandparents only had one meal in the evening.

Our aim is to enrich the lives of orphaned-children and the community of BUNGOMA County through education and independence. It is our passion and resolve to accomplish this very difficult task.
Every penny donated reaches the children for their support.

Richminster Rectory Academy started in 2009 with a vision to provide education to orphans and poor children whose parents died of HIV / AIDS and other natural diseases. The school runs from Kindergarten to grade 8 with a total of 850 Children. We realized the need for a school because of the increasing number of orphans and needy children in this community. We thought that the only way we could help these children is to give them education to help shape their future. When education promotes children's dignity, they have confidence and belief that they have a place in the world and a contribution to make. It is a new generation of young people who can play an active role in creating stronger and healthier families.

Local communities and positive global change.

It is our desire and intention to raise these children in a Christian environment. These children are psychologically traumatized who need to be rehabilitated in society. Our next phase is to construct housing units / dormitories that will accommodate these children. We therefore seek for your philanthropic support and prayer to do what we could to make Richminster Rectory Academy a better place for the children to have the best learning environment.

At Richminster Rectory Academy (RRA), we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty within families and the community as a whole. With high drop out rates and a lack of quality standards within public schools in BUNGOMA , we are committed to challenging the typical status quo. Instead, we offer the community quality educational institutes that go beyond exclusively utilizing the Kenyan curriculum to raise the next generation of The  Kenyan future leaders to “be the change"
